Counseling (Before or After Your Wedding)
This is one of the happiest times of your life. How can you make it even better? Consider doing a couple's review with me. Some couples would like to get a better understanding of each other and the dynamics of their marriage before their wedding day. Other couples are so busy preparing for their wedding that they can't imagine adding another activity until they come up for air after their big day. Either way, gaining greater insight into better ways to communicate, resolve confilct, and understand where there are strengths and growth areas in your relationship can help you to forge a more solid union as you move forward on your journey.
Prepare/Enrich
I am a certified facilitator of the Prepare/Enrich program. For decades, Prepare/Enrich has been one of the most recognized programs for strengthening relationships and helping couples prepare for marriage. Couples Assessment & Report
Independently, each of you will take the secure, online Prepare-Enrich assessment that is customized to your specific situation. You will answer a series of questions to capture your unique individual tendencies, styles, values, and views. A comprehensive report is generated that reflects your strengths as a couple as well as potential growth areas to consider. Other summarized areas include your relationship dynamics, personal stress profiles, and individual personality styles, plus much more.
Review Sessions
I will work with you for four (4) one-hour sessions. We will review the results of the assessment and the summary report. We will explore your strengths as a couple as well as the areas for growth. We will discuss communication, conflict resolution, personality styles and other key topics. There will be exercises between sessions for you to practice techniques such as active listening and reaching solutions to problems together so you can improve your skills. We will meet in person in Coeur d'Alene or face to face over Skype or FaceTime, whichever is most convenient. Additonal sessions are available should you wish to spend more time exploring important topics such as financial management, relationship roles, children and parenting, or spiritual beliefs.
